New Sports Complex to Boost North Myrtle Beach Real Estate

The North Myrtle Beach real estate is set to become more attractive to potential homebuyers and investors with the construction of a new sports facility in the area. The City Council has recently approved a general obligation bond worth up to $15 million to make the construction of the sports tourism arena go on.

Once construction commences, the new sports facility is expected to be completed within at least two years. North Myrtle Beach realtors welcome this development. They unanimously, and logically, agree that the sports tourism facility could really help boost overall demand for North Myrtle Beach homes for sale in the future.

The planned sports arena would be within an 1,800-acre piece of land that would be annexed into the western portion of the city. It would be along the Intracoastal Waterway, which is near SC 31 and Robert Edge Parkway. North Myrtle Beach realtors who own developments and lots in the zone have already given their consent to the Planning Commission of the city so that the planned sports complex would finally start construction.

According to a development agreement recently signed by all involved parties, up to 1,460 acres of land within the zone would be allotted for development and construction of North Myrtle Beach homes for sale, including residential and commercial properties. The city government would buy and own 133 acres of the land for the sports facility. The remaining 6.8 acres would be used for construction of an access road going to the parking area of the sports complex.

North Myrtle Beach real estate seems truly excited for this development. The sports complex would feature eight multipurpose and wide playing fields, a water play facility, an amphitheater, a dog park, and several walking trails. The sports center would be a new interesting and popular venue for major sports and tourism events in North Myrtle Beach.
