Michael Vick listed his home yesterday for $4,500,000. It would seem that he's leaving Atlanta.
Here's the description from the MLS courtesy Waters Realty: STUNNING CUSTOM HOME WITH PRICELESS LAKE VIEWS.2 STORY FOYER FEATURES DOUBLE CURVED STAIRCASE,2 STORY STUDY,MASTER W/DOUBLE SIDED FRPL.& SITTING RM,ELEVATOR,WETBAR,REC.RM,WORKOUT RM W/SAUNA,THEATRE RM,FULL BAR,LEVEL PRIVATE BACKYARD,2 OUTDOOR FRPL.
The home, which was originally purchased for $3.775 Million in 2005, has 14,886 Square Feet listed on the tax records, this may or may not include an additional 6000 square feet in the basement. With Eight bedrooms and seven full baths and four acres of land, this home is definitely a fixture in Sugarloaf.
It will be interesting to see who moves into it. Would it be another Athlete, Artist or just an entrepenuer. The sale will likely be covered for the media at least for a day, so it'd be worth some free pub. What's the going rate for a national commercial for a day?
It's interesting to me how this home is marketed. I originally wanted to use this as an opportunity to discuss where I think Real Estate is going for the future, but with all the people that will likely land on this page from searching, it might be best to reserve that post for later. You'll certainly see my comments here referenced in another post about marketing and contract negotiations. If Michael happens by here, this is for you:
Michael,
We'll miss you. You're going through some turbulent time but you brought excitement and hope to a city and franchise. Good luck in the future and God Bless!
For those interested in seeing this home, you'll have to provide an approval letter or proof of funds. Oh, and in case you were curious, the taxes are only $26K a year. Yes, I know!, What a steal!
