Texans - Help Us Stop Unfair Taxation

Texans for Tax Relief is an organization of trade associations organized to protect your pocketbook. Small-business owners and independent contractors all over Texas face an important issue on Nov. 6: We must vote FOR Proposition 6.

Proposition 6 will protect independent business people from an unfair tax on personal vehicles. If passed, Proposition 6 will guarantee you do not have to pay an additional $600 or more in taxes on your personal vehicle every year.

The Texas Legislature and Texas attorney general agree, but we must pass this constitutional amendment to make it law. So, gather your friends and colleagues and go to the polls to vote FOR Prop 6 on Nov. 6! (Early voting runs Oct. 22 - Nov. 2.)

Major newspapers across Texas and 14 business and professional trade associations have all endorsed the passage of Prop 6-Vote FOR Prop 6.

When i lived in Kentucky we had to pay property tax on our vehicles. Usually a few hundred dollars depending on what the state thought your vehicle was worth. Glad I'm in Florida now.

They are trying to a 3% tax put on the value of things we own and use in our business. This law, if passed, will effect every small business owner in Texas, not just Realtors®. It is a bad law and just another way to get my money out of my pocket into the governments pockets.... Vote YES for Proposition 6. Early voting has already started in Texas. So get out and VOTE NOW.... Before it's to late...

You know I have written several times on here about this and it is like they do not beoive me!! Also ask other realtors in your office etc...They do not know anything about it! I also try to tell Mary Kay, Avon ladies etc about this because they will be effected also! I think early voting starts next week too!

I have just posted a write up on the very same thing. I did not know you had already started spreading the word. It is AMAZING how many people in Texas DO NOT KNOW about this Proposition. Yes, I'm concerned because I'm a Realtor, but it effects SO MANY other industries and they just don't know OR they don't think it will be that much. THEY ARE WRONG....start spreading the news is my current theme right now. Thanks Danny for doing that very thing here as well. Kathy in Decatur, Tx.
