Prices are affordable and interest rates are low!
Jim - affordability will be a key factor to the real estate recovery today's interest rates really help in the affordability factor ..... couple that with the current prices of homes and it paints a great picture for those who see the signs ..... this opportunity may not last.
Jim,
Great stats for San Diego. You've made a clear case for Buying opportunities in your region.
Have a great weekend,
Steve
Those that can afford truly benefit in this economy. Even with the threat of elevated interest rates due to our AA+ US rating they still will be great rates offered. All the best for a wonderful weekend!
Hi Jim,
You are so correct to outline that the long term opportinities that real estate offer are still as good as ever, if not better....
If real estate was being compared with the stock market, everybody would be racing in to buy anything in sight......
Hi Jim,
Good blog about your market. Actually median prices of $529 K is not as high as I thought it would be considering it is San Diego. There are certain parts of California we love and San Diego is part of that group..
Hi Jim, for every seller who bemoans that prices have fallen, there is a buyer who is happy because they have fallen and he can once again afford homeownership.
Really amazing numbers Jim for San Diego...and I don't think you could say the same here except in the Washington DC metro area...

Jim - I'm amazed at how the median price of homes in San Diego County has dropped. However, that was quite a nice increase you had over the 10 years.
