* There were 38 new listings from 7/1/11 to 7/31/11, That is  1 LESS than June 2011

* There were 10 properties put under contract and 24 placed contingent for a total of 34  from 7/1/11 to 7/31/11, That is  5 LESS than June 2011
 

* There were 5 properties that Closed from 7/1/11 to 7/31/11, That is  8 LESS than June 2011

IN CONCLUSION THE MARKET SLOWED FOR JULY WHICH IS NOT UNCOMMON GIVEN THE JULY 4TH HOLIDAY. There were less homes coming on the market and unfortanately less sales for homes closed in July than June. Inventory though is down. That is certainly good news for sellers of homes in the area.

For buyers now is indeed the time to act, a buyer can easily get pre-qualified for a mortgage at no cost by meeting with a local and trusted mortgage broker or bank. Please see my blog for tips on getting a mortgage.


Prices are still low and interest rates are still near all time lows.
