Relaxing in the sun at Lake Tahoe with about 3000 feet of shoreline to ourselves

At about 12:00 noon on Saturday Nu Nu, Sherry and myself were looking for a nice beach to relax at Lake Tahoe. This was our 5th day at Lake Tahoe and with school still out it is quite busy even on the weekdays. But today being the weekend it was packed even by noon.

So as we looked for a parking spot inside the parks, beaches, etc., there were no places to park. We found an area up on the road where we almost parked, to find out later that the cars were getting tacked for no parking for about 130 dollars per car.

Well we didn't park there "Thank God" but we parked about 500 feet south of where all the cars were getting tagged. We parked up on the road and walked down a fairly sleep hill down to the rocks, it wasn't very far.

The photo (above) was the view from where we parked our car, and the photo (below) was taken looking south of Lake Tahoe.

The photo (below) was looking straight West ...

And the photo (below) was looking straight north. What was so enjoyable was there were no people around us from north to south, it was like having our own property on the beach and Lake Tahoe, well ...

 "Priceless"

How beautiful, Bob.  I wish I was there, too.  How relaxing and how divine to have it all to yourselves.

Seems it was well worth the walk.

Then again $ 130 for the day is not bad either lol

Enjoy the day

Hey you sure have a good eye. Tahoe is a great place for fun and play.  I hope you enjoyed yourself and felt a little better with the wet heat of Northern California vs the dry heat of home.

Every one of these are gorgeous. The second one is my absolute favorite! I like the way it draws the eye in a complete circle. You don't just glance at it and see everything... Very nice!! :)))
