Picking up the daily cross and following Jesus were never promised as a walk in the park, or even a bed full of roses. In 
fact, the Lord loves us so much, He can't stand but to continue to mold us into better people. The same goes to us as worldly parents to our children.
This Christian walk was never promised to be easy. Like everyone else, we'll continue to face trials and challenges.
It's NOT "if" we do, but "when" we do, focus on the Size of Your God, not the size of your problem. Turn it over to Him.
It's so easy to focus on "me" when things are not going your way. Why "me"? And that those sorts of self-pity parties.
Instead of focusing on your challenges, focus on the Lord instead. Focus on what else you would think He would want you to do instead. Then, just as Nike says, "Just do it".
I've had my fair share of difficulties this year. I try to look beyond myself, to continue to love on others and to serve others. But then, I find myself draining out into my "me" time. I remind not to stay too long in it. Then as it passes, continue to look beyond myself again and to serve.

1 Peter 1:6-7
So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though it is necessary for you to endure many trials for a while. These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold--and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
