As a real estate broker, I am asked this questions many times. In this market there is no quick and easy answer, but here are a few tips that will increase exposure and desirability of your home and therefore  increase the chances of getting it sold.

1. Empty clutter

2. Have your home squeaky clean

3. Depersoanlize your home

4. Price the home lower that the comparable homes

5. Plant flowers in the front to improve curb appeal

6. Closets must be at least 50% empty

7. Counters need to be clear

8. No family photos

9. Blinds and window coverings open

10. Soft music playing

11. Bake cookies so home smells good

12. Have great photos and lots of them in the marketing materials

 

If none of this works - Lower the price!
