You could go on line to lots of sites and see what houses on the market are LISTED for. However, it is a little harder to find out what homes ACTUALLY SOLD FOR. It is a little like the difference between reality and fantasy land. Just because a seller asks $150,000 for his home does not make it worth that much. This is especially true in this crazy mixed-up economy we are in.
So the best way to really know is to somehow get a list of homes that have sold. You could ask your real estate agent. He can find out on the MLS. But how can YOU look any time you want?
