Just a couple of miles outside of Port Charlotte, is a simple but nice little restaurant.  Certainly notNav-A-Gator

fancy, but a nice little place to have a simple meal, Nav-A-Gator.  Pretty cute & catchy name for the area, especially with all the alligators around! As I said, just outside Port Charlotte, into Desoto County (Arcadia) off Kings Highway.  Kings Highway is Exit 170 off of I75.  Just go north (east off I75 - but road is actually North/South roadway) on Kings Highway a couple of miles and look for the above sign.  You can only turn right on that roadway (seams like you are in the middle of NO WHERE!) and go all the way until the end and right there you will find the restuarant.

Actual Nav-A-Gator RestuarantThey have fish, sandwiches, and of course gator-tail and plenty of good food!   They have a simple shop to buy souveniers and other odd items.  You can also take a tour on one of the boats right there at a small marina right there at the restuarant. They also have some kind of music playing, sometimes live!  Enjoy!

We rented canoes there once a few years ago. Saw some gators. Kids got scared. Went inside and had a great fish sandwich.

Thanks Wayne, Joan & Rolando for stopping by!  Joan, it was very good, thanks!  I didn't see the gators, but even if I had, I'm used to them.
