In Sacramento and Placer counties both SMUD and PG&E offer discounts to income qualified families!

PG&E 

PG&E has two different programs available. The CARE Program which is the California Alternative Rates for Energy this provides a 20% monthly discount to qualified families. For program guidelines and more information, visit them on the web at  pge.com/care or call (866) PGE-CARE

The FERA Program is the Family Electric Rate Assistance Program, this program provides savings to larger hoseholds with a low-to-middle income.  For program guidelines and more information visit them on the web at  pge.com/fera  or call (800) PGE-5000.

SMUD

SMUD offers qualified, low-income customers a discount on their monthly bills.  This program is call SMUD's Energy Assistance Program. If you qualify you could save more than 30% on your monthly bill!  For more information call (866) 675-6624.
