Are you a "Power User" - or perhaps you'd like to become more of one! A power user, is a person that has mastered all the basics and completes tasks in better ways. Perhaps it is just doing something faster. If you do it faster, then you can get more things done in the same amount of time that you have available to you. (I know we all need longer days!)
Being a power user also means that you are working smarter, you understand more about your choices and making a better choice when options are given to you.
The past couple of weeks I've been on a summer break and away from blogging and webinars, but the break is over and I'm ready to start up again. (I'll say more "willing than able" though. My 'day job' is in the midst of a merger and there are lots of technology tasks! For about the next six weeks, I'll be a little inundated and not online as much as I normally like to spend time with you. Mid-september, I hope to get back to more 'normal'. Meanwhile, I'll try not to disappear entirely!)
So this week's webinar is on the theme of '40 tips to become a more power user'. These are things I do all the time, things I've picked up along the way and want to share. I've been jotting these down in my notebook whenever I do something that I think many of you don't know a tip or technique but would LIKE to! Many (but not all) of the tips are WINDOWS-centric... so if you are a Mac user, you are still welcome, but I don't want you to be disappointed for a lesser amount of takeaways. My windows-specific tips, will be things that you can use in Win XP, Vista, or Win7. I've got 60 minutes to teach you new things, and my list at this moment includes a 40 point checklist! (I'm notorious for having overly ambitious outlines, so I limited myself to 40 and not 60 points! Let's see how my timing goes :)
