Real Estate Recovery - Austin TX is well underway! I have buyers getting rates that I am so jealous of!! When I
bought my house in the Spring of 2009, I missed the 4.5% rates that were offered by a couple of hours, and had to settle for 4.625%.
In the past week, here are the rates my buyers have gotten:
4.375% - 30 year fixed with putting 10% down
4.025% with a JUMBO loan putting 15% down on a 5/1 ARM (he got an ARM because his contract in town is temporary and he will not own the house 5 years)
4.5% - 30 year fixed with putting 20% down for an investor
Some of these rates are unheard of. A JUMBO rate nearly 4%?? An Investor rate under 5%?? A traditional, regular purchase below 4.5%??
These rates are unbelievable and buyers are jumping on the buying bandwagon right and left.

Thos are some amazing interest rates, aren't they
so If I calculate that correctly, to borrow $ 100,000 that is $ 478.86 @ 4.025 for 30 years........ that is just amazing, That is sure to fire up the buyers in and around Austin Tx and kisck start a real estate recovery
Keep in mind that the 4.025% is the JUMBO rate on a 5/1 ARM so that's well over $417k and not a traditional fixed rate.
Donna - great to see that the real estate recovery has a solid foothold in Texas ..... keep on spreading the good news it is definetly good for business.
