Things to do in Cary by the Cary Concierge...Have You Tried Disc Golf?
I've tried disc golfing maybe once or twice. Definitely takes a few tries to get good at tossing a simple putter in the right direction. And of course it made me feel even worse when my friends were throwing drivers over 300 feet! There are also tournaments that take place during Thursdays and Fridays over the summer. Try it out today- you won't be disappointed that you gave it a shot. (PS- Innova. Go with the Innova brand. They're #1 in disc manufacturing. Find them at Dick's Sporting goods, REI, Play It Again Sports, or if permitted, go searching for lost discs!)

Disc Golf which is a combination of Frisbee and golf. Individual players throw a flying disc into a basket or a target. Disc golf is inexpensive and is physically accessible for all ages and athletic ranges making it so attractive to a diverse group of players. There are more than 3000 courses around the USA and 87% of them are FREE. Very interesting . . . .I think I would like to watch a game.
Right here in Cary we have the Middle Creek Disc Golf Course located at 115 Middle Creek Park Avenue. It is an 18 hole course designed by PDGA professional Carlton Howard. The course is open sunrise to sunset seven days a week. Scorecards are located at the first tee. There is also a smaller course located in the Scottish Hills Recreational Club on Tarbert Drive in Cary, NC.
