I live in one of the greatest and most entertaining cities in America…Arlington, Texas. Not only do we have great people and terrific schools, but we have one of the best entertainment districts you will find.
First of all we are home to the greatest football team of all time, the Dallas Cowboys. And of course the best team needs the best stadium. Dallas Cowboys Stadium is the top of the line, state of the art stadium in the NFL…regardless of the train wreck of a Super Bowl we just hosted :)
We also have the reigning American League Champions, the Texas Rangers. The Rangers play at a wonderful place to watch Major League Baseball, Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. We’ve enjoyed watching the Rangers in this ballpark since 1994.
If you are more of a thrill seeker we have Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. Six Flags is a huge amusement park with intense roller coasters such as The Titan, The Texas Giant, The Shockwave and many others. Hurricane Harbor is a water amusement park with rides including Der Stuka, Geronimo, and The Black Hole.
One of our newest attractions in Arlington is the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame moved here in 2010.
Even with these great attractions, Arlington still has numerous things to keep you busy. We have tons of shopping, whether it be indoor or outdoor shopping malls. There are numerous museums for your viewing pleasure. And this is Texas, and we love our food, so there is any and every type of restaurant you could ever want to eat at.
Arlington also has quite a few famous residents and past residents including, eight time Mr. Olympia, Ronnie Coleman, former major leaguer and 1998 American League Rookie of the year, Ben Grieve, LA Angels outfielder, Vernon Wells, Philadelphia Phillies outfielder, Hunter Pence, Olympic Gold Medalist runner, Jeremy Wariner, and rock band Panterra to name a few.
So if you are ever in the DFW area, stop by Arlington and check out our city and what we have to offer.
