Bookmarks... How long is your list? And do you really go back and read them????

I just counted mine.  I have 189 posts bookmarked.

In Brad Andersohn's post titled How To Use Your "My Settings" Page he mentions that he has bookmarked hundreds of posts but never goes back to read them.  I'm guilty of the same thing.  Are you?

Now, when I get an email that I think is worthy of saving, I create a folder and move the email into that folder.  If I get more emails on the same subject that I want to keep, they too get moved into that folder.  Now, when I need to find or reference an email of a specific subject, I can find it easily.

I am going to ask the powers-that-be here in the Rain that they create something on our Home pages that will allow us to create folders to store our bookmarked posts in.  I think I'll be more apt to reference my bookmarks more often if I could categorize them and not have to scroll through a long and unorganized list that I've saved.

My categories would include Mortgage/Lending tips, Staging tips, AR tutorials, SEO tools, Scripts, Farming, Inspirational and more.  What about you?  What type of posts do you bookmark?

What do the rest of you think?  Would you go back and read what you've bookmarked if you could find what you were looking for quicker?

Let me be the first to say...  GREAT IDEA!!  :-0   I just went thru mine and I had tooooo many to count.  I am actually cleaning them up and do wish I had separate folders to sort them as well.  Great post Nancy, maybe the rain Gods will incorporate your idea into their new face lift coming in November! :-)

Brad- I am very flattered that you think this is a good idea!  I spent a great deal of time today cutting and pasting to an email and mailing the posts that I really want to save to myself so I can put what I want in folders.  Thanks so much for stopping by and being the first to comment!

Nancy - the new and improved AR may address some of these issues.  You can always contact AR and mention this post to them.  In fact, I'll flag it now and forward it in for consideration.  Have a great evening!  :-)

Thanks Brad.  I've already sent them something....  But knowing they're getting it twice is appreciated.  Thanks for thinking of it.  Sleep tight.

Too many bookmarks, not enough time to read them. Solution:  Every few years buy a new computer and start all over again. It is very refreshing. You DON'T HAVE TO import your old bookmarks over. Kind of feels like spring cleaning.

I guess I'm one of the good ones. When I book mark it, I always go back within a month. I have 3 in my bookmark section and the most I have ever had was 8.

Nancy, I have to admit "guilty".  I have however bookmarked something and then when I ran in to the difficutly again went and found the bookmarked post so in that regards I have used them but for the most part I bookmark and then life gets in the way.
