Census Question: "Do You Have Any Dependents?"

By

Sent from a friend....

I do not see this as a laughing matter!

They sent my Census form back! AGAIN!!! In response to the question:

"Do you have any dependents?"

I replied -
  • "12 million illegal immigrants;
  • 3 million crack heads;
  • 42 million unemployable lazy people,
  • 2 million people in over 243 prisons;
  • Half of Mexico;
  • and 535 more in the U.S. House and Senate."
Apparently, this was NOT an acceptable answer.

John, you forgot to mention Jan Brewer... your wonderful governor of Arizona.  I think you could call her a dependent as well... in view of all the millions of dollars she has cost your fine state and your wonderful citizenry.  Hopefully after November 2012... she will be out looking for a job.  A different job.

Like Scott Walker in WI, Gov Brewer is doing what is BEST for her state and MORE states are following her and AZ's lead!

Kudos to her for doing what is necessary to protect the jobs, citizens and reduce CRIME in her state.

Karen Anne -- If you want to attack what we are doing here in Arizona, you chose the wrong target. We have had some WONDERFUL legislation passed in our state this year. Jan Brewer just barely signed our SB1070 which allows the state of Arizona to enforce the immigration laws when the Feds won't.

Our efforts to enforce immigration laws here is lead by the "World's Toughest Sheriff" Joe Arpaio and our "toughest legislator," author of SB1070, Senator Russell Pearce. Governor Brewer is not leading in this effort. She vetoed some of the best legislation that would have reduced corruption in our city governments and other legislation that would have reduced the cost of health insurance by allowing us to purchase health insurance across state lines.

John:  Your dear Super Sheriff appears to be surrounded in controversy as to what is going on in his office.  I believe those who are investigating him are close to bring charges.  That should be fun to watch.

I don't need to "attack" Arizona... but I can disagree with some of the policies.  As far as attacking... it appears that with bills like SB1070... your lawmakers are doing a very good job in hurting your own state with all the money it has lost in canceled conventions and tourism.  I live in the RED state of Texas... and I know quite a few Texans who have changed plans and are vacationing elsewhere.

John - that seemed like a reasonable answer to me.  And Karen Anne, who has time for vacations?

If we could get a few more states to pass laws enforcing our immigration laws (since the feds refuse to do it) things would be much better in this country. I have no problem with immigrants, I do have a problem with illegal immigrants, stolen SS#s, working under the table, etc. Enforce our laws! Why are the feds suing every state that tries to enforce immigration laws? The feds claim it is their job and states or over-stepping their role.

If I had an employee that was doing their job like the feds I would fire them! Assuming they aren't in a union, a member of a minority group, have tenure...........oh crap....just shutter the business and go on the government dole.

Than -- Like you, I have no problem with immigrants, but I do with illegals. The illegals are having severe impacts on the quality of education. They consume precious resources that could be used to train our English-speaking students.

John and Than... the absence of the "illegals" are also having a severe impact on many farmer's ability to harvest their crops.  All that work for the farmers, and their crops are sitting there... rotting... because those "illegals" who normally do that back-breaking job have been chased from the state.  Pretty smart of that state legislature, doncha think ?
