Mary, I know so many people who would just love to have that great old wagon.  As the saying goes - "if only it could talk - the things we could learn."  Thanks for sharing.

I think all it needs is a fresh coat of paint, and she's run like a champ!  :)

HAHA Ann, where's your pioneer spirit?  Don't you have any duct tape?  :-)

Thanks Chris! Ever the optimist, I see and I like that!

Tammy, we have an old plow and an old wooden lawnmower in our front yard....want them?  I would love to see them go to a good home.

Mary, that was a great photo!  You can just imagine what the people went through who used that for transportation.  Not the greatest SUV in the United States, but it served its purpose honorably, I am sure.

I have always longed to live back in the California Gold Rush days.  I certainly would have no problem driving a horse and wagon. . .BUT, I think I would have needed a better mechanic, body and paint guy, for that one!

You guessed it Kim! HAHA! Thanks for that!

Suzanne, I guess this would just be a UV, not very sporty LOL  but the people who utilized it must have been happy to have it. Thanks Suzanne.

Hi Myrl,  I agree, this one would need a few folks to get it back on the road for you. Because you visit all the Gold Rush towns, it's easy to picture you driving the Wagon- thanks for the mental picture- weren't you a gunslinger also? LOL

Mary,

It is a "fixer upper!" I love it! I saw something similar on a hike in Breckenridge and it makes me think about the stories that could be told about those types of things. I love history!

Hi Kristi, they do have stories...makes you wonder about who drove it, what did they do? where were they going?  and when did they finally give up on it?  :-) Thanks Kristi - it is a "fixer" for sure! LOL

Hi Jane, Indeed!  A lot tougher than we are these days, I think. Thanks for coming by Jane!

Thanks Kathleen, it is a great old wagon, I agree!

I don't think so Ann :-) just think how much simpler duct tape would have made their lives though.  You crack me up!
