P&G Riverfest September 4th 2011 & WEBN Fireworks Send Out Summer With a BANG!  WEBN Labor Day Weekend Fireworks Show

Maybe Summer isn't OFFICIALLY over Labor Day Weekend, but the WEBN Fireworks show 9 p.m. September 4th marks the unofficial end of the Cincinnati Summer Season!

And after 35 years of running this BIG BANG, Rozzi's Firewworks & WEBN know how to throw a rocking party! Now of course there's much more to this Ohio River Fireworks Show than JUST the fireworks!  There will be live music and other entertainment starting at noon on September 4th at the Serpentine Wall and P&G Pavilion stages!  And the expense to get in?  FREE!  Now of course parking, food and non-alcoholic drinks for the day are on you. (Sorry folks, but FAMILY friendly event, and nothing fouls up a family friendly event faster than a few folks baking in the sun after a few too many adult beverages).



The boats will start claiming their spots on the river LONG before the actual event and both the Kentucky and Ohio side of the riverbanks will be crowded with people!

And of course various businesses that have great views of the Ohio River will be offering packages to take advantage of the fun! 

Now there are rules for this event:
You can bring blankets, but no chairs (even the fold up kind).  You can claim your spot as early as 6 a.m. on Saturday September 3rd.
No booze.  PERIOD.
No weapons (Why would you need them?  We're here to have a great time!)
No wheeled items....skateboards, bikes, scooters, rollerblades, etc.
No pets!
No coolers!

There will be road closures for the event, yet to be announced.  Obviously the earlier you get there, the better your chance at finding prime parking down by the Ohio River!

You can never have enough fireworks.  I hate to see summer end, but Cincinnati is sending off in great style.

Don, The WEBN Fireworks is one of the most popular events of the year for the area.  Gets simulcast by one of the local TV stations too, and since WEBN is a rock station, they choreograph the show with an appropriate soundtrack.

Donne, This end of summer bash is probably the biggest Cincinnati area party of the year.  The fireworks last about 30 minutes.  VERY well done show!
