How many agents started out in Real Estate thinking it was going to be easy. Just get your Sphere of Influence (SOI) to list or buy a house with you and you would be rich. As Barney Fife found out, it isn't quite that easy. For agents who develop a business plan and work the plan real estate is a great career.
Do you remember the Andy Griffith episode when Barney Fife decided how great it would be to get into real estate? It's one of my favorite ones! One thing you can say for Barney.....he is certainly enthusiastic and he's not afraid to pick up the phone and call his SOI!
He can also teach us some things about what not to do.......

I was just talking about this today...as I was noticing all the open house signs with names I didn't recognize...must be new. Real Estate is full of promise but few actually make it...just a reality.
Cindy in "Indy"-I asked NAR to do a follow up on some of their past 30 under 30 stars to see if they are still in the business. I know a few in my area that aren't.

Oh Cindy, who knew Barney was ever in the Real Estate Biz! He's actually workin it - finding people who want to move up or downsize. Not Bad!
I'd forgotten that episode. Barney was alway getting himself in so much trouble. Wish real estate was that easy!
I forgot about this episode. I love Mayberry!
Gwen-that's funny. I've had a few Fife days recently.

Hannah-there is no way a career in real estate is easy.
John-well he did give it a try but he didn't have a well written business plan to make it work.
Kay-Barney had good ideas he just didn't have a good way to execute on his vision.
Doug-thanks glad you enjoyed it.
Gotta love the motivation, but the execution is something else entirely.
Chris Ann-no doubt needs a little help in making it all work.
