Incline Village Goes Back To School

It's hard to believe as it feels as if Summer just really heat up, but it is Back To School time for Incline Village starting Monday, August 22, 2011.

Last week teachers were announced via snail mail for the elementary school and the text's started flying...'who has who' and 'who is in what class with what other kids'???  BIG questions and very important for Elementary School.  With the teacher announcements came the School Supply Lists and Wishs Lsits for each classroom.  Now's the time to do your Back to School Shopping and stock up on crayons, pens, paper, pencils, new lunch boxes, backpacks, and don't forget a new outfit or too and some new shoes!!! 

Incline Elementary School Website - Supply lists are based by classroom teacher.  If you did not receive one in the mail you can contact the office directly at 775.832.4250.

Incline Middle School Website -Supply lists not published at this time, but you can call the school directly at 775.832.4220.

For specific information on all the Public Schools in Incline Village, www.inclineschools.org, is a wealth of information from school calendars (you can select IES, IMS or IHS for specific information related to that school directly) to bus routes and more academic information.

Do you want to join one of the organizations and help promote learning in your child's classroom.  Incline Elementary School  PTA is always looking for help.  Several positions still remain open, so check with the school board for open positions and to find out how you can help make a difference. If you want to take advantage of the transportation for your children and you need information on BUS ROUTES, this is your link.  Type in your address and zip code and it will tell you where the closest stop is located.  Very cool!

Snow seems so far from the forecast with the current conditions, but make sure to bank the snow line phone number in your address book as it will be here before you know it.  The snowline is updated daily in the winter months with snow delays and school closures so you can make adequate plans ASAP.  Snowline is 775.337.7509.

Incline Village also has a private school, Lake Tahoe School, whose calendar mimcs the Washoe County Public School system.  More information can be found on their website.
