Is It Ok to Reblog?

By
Managing Real Estate Broker with The Property Source

Y or NI'm fairly new to all of this blogging & Google do's and don'ts. I'm just wondering, it is ok to post a blog on AR and then copy and paste the same blog and put it on your website? Or visa verse? Will Google downgrade you for duplicate information/duplicate blogs?

I just don't think I have enough time in the day to come up with enough individual blog ideas to be able to post them on different websites. I'd be blogging all day or worrying about what I'm going to blog about next, as well as concerned about the blogs becoming redundant.

Any suggestions?

Better yet... set up an "outside blog". It's a sidelink on our home page on AR. Then your blogs can automatically show up on your website!

You can use the re-blog button on AR to re-blog a post on your AR blog. I would not put it on your website though. You would need express permission from the author of the content to do that. Yes, you are diluting your site with a lot of duplicate content if you don't have a lot of your own original content.

Important information needs to get out there so rewrite the informatoin in your own words and put it on your website. Katerina

Janet - You can post your own content to multiple websites of your own, but Google will only credit the original source.  Decide which blog you want to have rank the highest on Google for your keywords, if you have multiple blogs, then post the original article there.  For me it's my community blog at www.blackrockonline.org then I copy and paste the content into my AR blog.  I add a line "Originally posted at www.blackrockonline.org "  I have the social media buttons on each of my posts on my community blog, so depending upon the content, I click on the social media butto to add it to Facebook, Twitter, etc.
