Craig I think Kerrie is going to be the next "Pizza Nazi" ala "Seinfeld" out there on the left coast.  I've actually had the same idea about opening up a Chicago Style Pizza joint here in the south...Chicago Style Dogs, Italian Beef & Sausage...look at what you've started with you Pizza post.

Ah Pizza, the greatest and first American Fast food. One of the good things about our area as there are so many pizza places and when driving around, often very difficult to pass a place that sells pizza by the slice.

OK the NY snob is weighing in (that's a lot of weighing) it's unnatural to put fish of any kind on a pizza and you can't build a NY pizzeria on the West Coast.  It's the water, you can't have NY bagels or pizza without NY water and the attitude is just a little icing on the cake or pie :).  If Real Estate doen't pick up I will start a new business shipping pizza and bagels.

Laura - Take and bake's are fun! Just add what you like to them and they're a hit! If Kerrie ever gets her Lil Slice place up and running I say we hold a RainCamp there!

Doug - Pizza's one of the 5 basic food groups Doug! Go have another slice!

Larry & Sheila - I found a few places here in the Raleigh/ Cary/ Apex area where it's pretty darned authentic. It took a while to find them. But I'm glad I did. Of course there's nothing like having one on every corner like we did back home!

Ed - You make a good point about pizza being the first fast food, Ed. And a good one it is!

Kristin - Ha! Ha! Ha! I had you at pizza! That's too funny!

Liz - Being a former Long Islander/ NYC'er, I know exactly what you mean! I did find really good NY pizza here, but it wasn't easy. Hmmm. Pizza and bagel shipping business....
