Why don't other Realtors, Lenders and other Real esate professional join active rain?

I have been on AR for about 3 weeks and already have gotten business from it. I have invited 3-4 non- competing Realtors, several lenders, a termite and home inspector and others. Only on Realtor joined.

Do people think we are a cult? It is FREE and a great way to drive your business. What successes and non- success have you had getting others to join Active Rain?

I wish I had business from AR . But I have had other benefits like great contacts and learned a bunch which will lead to new business

Hi Joe: I agree, I guess some people see the "vision" of AR while others do not.

What business did you receive from AR? Details would be great. Congrats!

Joe - I believe many people do not understand the connection between blogging and business opportunity. I have found that my listings are getting picked up by Google much faster here than on my own personal website.

Just like anything else, some people see value in something and others are plain oblivious. What works for some, does not work for others... I've seen the benefits of Active Rain and had some success in conveying the benefits to others.

Most of the folk that I invited, have just logged in and joined on their own without giving me the credit at the inviter! Yes leads have come to us via active rain!

Maribeth asked me what lead I received. a seller that move out of town 12 years ago found me via Active Rain She refereed me to her nephew, who listed his uncle's home with mew last week.

Hello Joe, having the same results on my end. Only 1 joined after inviting many friends that I know. I see so many agents, mortgage brokers and builders stuck in a rut waiting for the business to come to them.
