VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Kohl's Department Store is the first store to open at Landstown Commons, the 60.5 acre upscale retail and lifestyle center The Goodman Company of West Palm Beach is developing in the Gateway corridor of Virginia Beach at the corner of Princess Anne Rd. and Dam Neck Rd. across from the Sentara Medical complex and office park. When the second phase opens in the spring, the 515,000 square foot facility will be nearly 100 percent occupied.
Robert Saffran, SCLS, senior vice president of leasing for The Goodman Company, said recent new leases include PetSmart, with 20,000 square feet of space, AC Moore Crafts with 21,600 square feet, One Hot Tan, a tanning salon, with 1,956 square feet and Starbuck's Coffee with 2,000 square feet.
Bed, Bath & Beyond, Office Max, Lane Bryant, Justice, Rack Room Shoes, Buffalo Wild Wings, GameStop and others will open this fall.
Saffran said the retail center is poised for success as the center has a great mix of top-tier anchor stores, and will showcase numerous retailers and concepts that are not currently in the market.
