With it being "Back to School Time", I want you to think ...

What grade does your lender earn for accessibility??

If that mortgage lender is me, I'm hoping you think an A+! To keep-on earning that grade, I've started my own website, www.genemundt.com. I have a blog there, but I contribute to other sites too. All add to my accessibility.

For my clients' and referral partners' convenience, I have an email address. Easy one-click Contact Forms. Personal eFax number. Have my own QR code (very popular now). I Skype. Facebook chat (and have my own page). Google+. Have a SmartPhone.

I write and receive texts continuously throughout my day. Can now include photos with my Tweets. Link on LinkedIn ... BranchOut ... MerchantCircle. Even the age-old business card. I link to everything I can to make for fast and easy accessibility. In other words ... you can find me everywhere easily ...

In today's world, accessibility is all-important. So I go back to my question ... what grade do you give your mortgage lender??

Accessibility is something I try to project as part of my image and marketing. Maybe it's old-fashioned. Maybe it's a bit boring sounding, but I want YOU to know without a doubt that I'm accessible.

And accessible in a variety of ways, through a variety of means, during a variety of hours. In fairly extended hours. On days when others might not be. (I dare you to try and find some lenders be

fore/after normal office hours or while you're going through an Open House on the weekend and have a question.)

I want YOU to feel no hesitation, no fears, no qualms about reaching out or starting a communication with me. I want to be that "go to" mortgage lender. The "fix it" mortgage lender. The "answer" mortgage lender. The mortgage lender that successfully closed your transaction.

Accessible Gene Mundt. Dependable Gene Mundt. The "A+" mortgage lender. Exactly the image and perception I'm going for.

Gene, I find that many of the lenders I have worked with have been very accessible -- until they got too busy with refi's. Have you ever considered relocating to MN?

HI Gene! So true that being accessible is really key to success - and in a variety of ways as you mentioned. Nothing worse than having an urgent need to get info from a lender outside of "normal" hours and find that they just don't respond in any kind of timely way. And if you do ever decide to relocate - don't forget how nice the Pacific NW is - hint, hint!!!!

I'm always surprised when professionals in the real estate industry neglect to carry their business cards. I can't tell you how many times I've asked for cards at closings or events and .. nope! Don't have any on them. It's such an effective, but inexpensive way to market! We have to be everywhere, don't we??
