If you have not heard of Tumbleweed Homes before, you really need to check this out! I have visited their website before and frankly, if I lived alone, I would love to have this little home right next to the seashore! Just me and Father Neptune! I could handle that!
Most single car garages are bigger than 89 square feet. Jay Shafer of the Tumbleweed Tiny House Company has lived in an 89 square foot house for the past few years. He sells plans for this model and you can build it yourself or buy it ready made. Could you rid yourself of your belongings to fit into a space this size?
