Will you hug your boss today? I said boss, not bass. Today’s the day to let your boss know exactly how you feel. Stop laughing. Even if you hate him or her, it’s time to suck it up for five seconds and give your boss a big bear hug. At least that’s what the job recruitment website that started this holiday says.
I’m okay with this day’s goal to raise the importance of working relationships, but I’m going to have to take a rain check on the hugging thing. I’m just not the hugging type. Note to the folks that work with me - lets just say yesterday’s cupcakes were our bonding moment. No hugging needed.
I do have a few bosses myself. My wife and kids aside, our customers are my boss. Don’t know how they’ll react if I run around hugging them today, so I’ll do my best to continue delivering their dream home with our team.
It’s up to you whether you hug your boss today. Guess it can’t hurt...can it?!
