Hello movie makers!

As I told you earlier this year, there was a competition in the 3^rd quarter dealing with Real Estate Shows. Many of the shows have been outstanding and it has made choosing winners very difficult. So, just like with the Oscars, please feel honored just to be nominated. The job was tough, there where 161 shows to review from 14 active Realtors. And those shows have received over 13,000 hits so far. WOW! This tool is a valuable way to show your properties or communities in a way very few Realtors have. Everyone should be proud of what they have accomplished and the work they have put in to there shows. So, with out any further ado, I give you the nominees and winners of the 3^rd Quarter Real Estate Show Oscars.......applause, applause, applause!!

There were 3 categories to compete in; Active Listing, Community promotion, and Fun Video.

The first category, Active Listing, the nominees needed to use great photos, good camera movement, music that fit the property and captions that not just described the property but moved potential buyers, tugging at their heart string, and left them with the feeling that this could be their home.

And lastly, the last image and title talking about how proud you would be to call this your home. This created the warmth that will drive buyers to her door. Congratulations Linda!

Next, the nominees for Best Community Promotion. Again, as with the Active Listing Shows, the goal is to create a since of inviting the viewer home, in this case in to the community. Showing the best features of the community, and relating them in a way that creates a longing for them to want to be there and see for themselves what it's like to be in the community.

And now, last but not least, the nominees for the Fun Show of the 3^rd quarter. Many of you took the opportunity to make shows that highlighted an event or happening in your lives. Thank you for sharing these fun times with us. This is a great way to share with your family and friends your real life and your former, current and hopefully potential customers the things that inspire you, that make you who you are. This gives you the opportunity to get as creative as you want to be, try something funny, or touching, or daring.....(not to daring) and make others shine.

So there you have it, the winners of the 3^rd quarter Real Estate Shows Oscars. Each winner will receive a $25 movie theater gift card to brush up on new ideas in movie making.

In January '08 I will present the winners for the 4^th quarter. There will be a new category to work on, "Business Promotion". Promote your business or someone else's business, showing your team, your accomplishments, or how much fun you are to work for or work with. This is great way to promote other companies that work with you or provide you services, and with that, when people see your show about their company, they see you and your contact info. What a relationship builder! I am looking forward to the next batch of shows, I've already seen some that are contenders for the next awards. Congratulations again to all the winners and nominees. Thanks again, and remember, make sure you leave your viewer with the sense that they need to move now, at the end of the show say something like "contact me now for a personal showing", or "this won't last long, even in this market, call me now!" Give them a call to action!
