I am going to be completely honest... Once I first signed up for this site I was terrified.. The idea of blogging made my stomach turn! I was nervous, sweaty palms, had no earthly idea on where to start and what to write about. But guess what I did it anyways.. First few blogs, I will admit, were HORRIBLE!!!! Even now I probably still produce some real dosy's, but I can guarantee you I have fun doing it, blogging has opened me up! :)

I blog about Seinfeld... or at least the concept. A little life a little fun and a little market info. If that isnt enough to talk about then I am glad they cap us at 10 blogs / week (for value anyway) lol

I think most of us would agree, Stacey, that the hardest thing is to get start. That fear of writing well, what will people think, I don't know, I can't write, and on and on. Let's just face that fear and get started. You said it best - Just get started!

Hi Stacey, this is kind of how I felt about blogging prior to re-engaging on ActiveRain. I knew it was something you were supposed to do, but for all the reasons above and then some never started until earlier this year. Great list....and now I don't leave home without my camera, never know when you will see something that will be a post. We took our doggies to the vet today and I actually forgot my Nikon, but had my iPhone, because on the way home we stopped by a local fire station in the city adjacent to us who recently received a piece of the WTC for a 9/11 memorial. Took some pics with my iPhone, came out good and now I have my 9/11 post already boiling in my head. Our life and career is a blog.

Nice post for everyone to take a look at themselves! I think it has to be an actual "choice" to blog. I would love to be blogging all day, but it takes time and effort.
You are correct though, in saying, we can pretty much blog about anything, especially in Real Estate, since I can't think of anything that is not, in some way, related to Real Estate!!

Stacey - great ideas when we have a bloggers block!
Nike has the perfect slogan "Just Do It". Once you dip your toe in the deep end and find it isn't as cold as you think you will jump in and never look back.
I hear where your coming from, but I am one of those people that have all of her thoughts stored up in her brain and when she gose to write them down they come out in an illegible mess! Help!
Stacey - Great boost. I still use some of those excuses but you got me and now I have to think of something new!! No worries blogging is getting easier, at least my rash cleared up!

Like so many others posting here, I have had Bloggers Block. Unlike many others I am going to have to start blogging since I moved to Grand Junction without knowing a soul here. I am finding it much harder to break into the listing - selling market than I expected so, I am going to have to get out of the conventional business building block and . . . Blog my way to recognition, referral and success.
Thanks Stacey, I am just getting started and was a bit held back about what would I write about after a few blogs. But rafter reading your post and some others I am encouraged. Thanks again.
I just don't get how people that are new can't get started. Heck, they have every topic including themselves to write about, unless maybe English is a barrier. This is not a timid business. I can get not being comfortable writing, but honestly, it's pretty darn easy to write when you read. That is the key.
