I had a voice mail message yesterday from an agent I didn't know from outside my area. She wanted to show one of my listings in Newmarket NH, which I was thrilled to hear! Well, in the middle of the night, I woke up and realized I'd never called her back. Oh how I hate waking up and realizing I forgot to do something like that.
This morning, as soon as I was up and about, I tried to call her office number that she left me, but her name wasn't listed in the office directory. I tried going by her first name, to no avail, and then tried her last name, and again no luck. Then I tried looking up that company's website, couldn't find that either. So, I just figured I'd have to wait a couple of hours until their office opened up and I could actually speak to a real person. I had been hoping to leave her a message so she'd have it first thing in the morning so she would know she could plan on that showing she called about.
It dawned on me shortly thereafter that I could try to find her through our state association website. So I went there, and finally found her. I was able to email her directly from our New Hampshire Association's website. I told her the showing was confirmed, and I also apologized for not having called her back yesterday afternoon. In that message, I let her know about her name not being in the office voice mail roster, and the various ways I'd tried to find her before hitting upon her email address.
She called me back this morning, and left me a wonderful voice mail message, thanking me for the extra efforts I went to to try to contact her, and for letting her know her name wasn't in the voice mail system. She had no idea that it was missing as no one else had told her. She thanked me several times in that same voice mail, and ended it by saying she was really looking forward to meeting me. She said, "Ann, I hope I get the chance to work with you on a sale because someone who's diligent enough to go to the extra efforts you did must be a real professional to work with". At the showing this afternoon, she told her buyers all about my efforts to contact her, and was very complimentary about me to her buyers.
You can imagine how that kind of message made me feel, and how it would make you feel to receive it as well! I didn't think of what I did as extra effort, but she certainly did, and because of that, I received a really nice
message from her, two actually - the voice mail message she left me and the things she said to her buyers at the showing - what a great little reward her message was! A very nice way to start the day indeed!
Now, if she'll just bring me an offer on my listing...... ;-)
