View of the Hudson River from Fort Tryon Park

Laura Cerrano Feng Shui Long Island consultant traveled to see her client in NYC the other day and after wards came across the Fort Tryon Park along the upper west side.  this park is a small treasure that many do not know of.  You have a magnificent view of the Hudson river and the George Washington bridge.

You can enjoy beautifully kept walking paths that bring you through different sights and scenes in the park. Whats interesting about this NYC park is the name.  Yes, it really was a Fort at one time.  During 1776, Fort Tryon was used to fight off the British from taking over the northern sections of America during that time.

They have even created a flower garden, but do to the dry season, the park rangers had to place more green plants then colorful ones.  So just imagine this path covered with bright beautiful flowers :)

Fort Tyron Park is located on 190th street in New York city.  You can take the A Train (subway) to reach the park.  This is worth the trip way up town, you will be satisfied :)

Hi Laura - I worked at Presbyterian Hospital and fave found that many people don't understand how much the upper tip of the west side has to offer.  It almost seems  not to be part of Manhattan in many ways.  Washington Heights was not such a nice place in those days - it was in the early to mid-ninties - but the surrounding areas and parks were beautiful.
