Picking Up Trash In The Neighborhood / While walking the Dog

As a responsible dog owner.... Wipes, Toilet Paper and Plastic Bags are the have to items I take with me when walking Spunky. I make sure I take extra grocery store bags just to put trash in. I can't believe how much trash I pick up just walking a mile in my neighborhood.
Maybe my small but steady walking the dog effort will inspire the neighbors to help me and take pride in their neighborhood and home ownership. I live in a nice neighborhood but litter does affect property values, and having trash blowing around the neighborhood is not a good thing.
Trash/litter is for sure an eyesore and...What message is it sending to potential buyers driving through the neighborhood?
Perhaps litter is something that should be addressed more often at community meetings.
