It's Not Solitude, but Oh So Peaceful. Sunday Musing

It's Not Solitude, but Oh So Peaceful!

I enjoy the game of golf, and I play early in the day so that I don't lose work time. We played Sunday morning, and although we had no rain the night before, there was a heavy dew from the temperature change from yesterday, and an early morning haze that would eventually clear up for a wonderful day of rest.

As my crew started off, I just had to linger behind and take a shot. It was just a peaceful looking scene, and I was the only one on the green.

Ed, that does look very peaceful, but I prefer the peace of laying around in bed at that time in the morning :) :) :)

Hi David, and yes it was. Thanks for stopping.

George, I have always had the thought that whenever I worked, I would need to have the lights on, but I don't play golf when it's dark. As for sleeping, I can do that anywhere, any time

Bob, thanks, but for the rest of the reply, see George's reply  ;o))

I never quite understood the point of hunting down a small white sphere so you could smack it away because it wasn't good enough to gather and eat:-)  However, I certainly can understand the tranquility of walking around on grassy grounds and knolls that look like the one pictured.  Nice photo, Ed!

Hi Ed, what a great shot.  There is something very peaceful about being out on a golf course.  I used to live in Miami and would go out with friend really early and the golf course was so inviting.  Have a great afternoon!

Early morning "walkers", I'm impressed.  Tell us how you did man.  Any birdies?

Myrl, I once felt the same way, but my wife refers that I chase a golf ball and not women.

Valerie, early morning golf is definitely different. Very little roll so being able to hit the distance is important. Not to mention that I go through a lot of golf shoes. Two pair of DriJoys a year.

Donna, sleep is greatly over rated.

Judith, there is just something special about a walk through so much manicured grass with the special plantings and scenery.

Ellie, it was a good walk, score was in the low 80's.

Ken, I birdied the par 5 just before this hole, and this 227 yard par 3 was a par, followed by a par and bogie. Everyone in the foursome takes strokes off of me, and this morning I got paid. :o))

What a beautiful Sunday morning on the golf course.  You can almost smell the freshness of the air and the excitement of teeing off.
