Valerie, you are so special you know! You must be for a young man to want to spend the evening with you. It'll be something he will always remember! You are such a doll. Love you!
Deb
Deb.. At first it felt strange to have a 12 year old over spending time with *me* when my son was not home. But being at a condo complex pool, there were many other children for him to play with.
Valerie - What a wonderful way to help your son's friend out. I'm sure he will never forget the kindness and generousity of your invitiation.
Hi Valerie, you are such a wonderful mother as well as caregiver to your son's young friend. You definitely made his day and he enjoyed. Blessings to you!
Valerie I think we were on the phone as you were preparing to go to the pool. Hope you did not have to pull anyone out :)
You know, that child will remember this ... and I bet down the road he'll help a child who finds himself in a similar situation. You're doing such a good thing.
Good morning Vallerie.
Donna.. I feel like I've adpoted another child for the summer... maybe longer. Both boys get along well.. which is good for both of them.
Judith.. Staying in a home by yourself, or being out in the sun playing with children in a pool. It is a no brainer as to which way to go.
Geroge.. Good news on that front. No, I did not have to pull anyone out of the pool.
Tammy.. Your comment gave me a thought... that maybe when he is an adult, he will do this for some child remembering how I helped. I like your idea. I never thought of a Pay-it-forward, working in years to come... but this one might.
Good morning Joshua. Big Flower!!!
What a great suggestion for him to meet you at the pool and then to feed him dinner, that is really paying it forward!
Kathy... Just meeting this boy, you could tell he was straving for attention... let alone food. Too bad summer is over, he could use coming to the pool more often.
