How many wild turkeys can you fit on one picture? (Photoblog)

I was headed out to New Almaden today to do some hiking over at the Almaden Quicksilver Mines...  And to the left was this huge field with over 20 wild turkeys just hanging out!  I have them up at my house, but see one or two...  Sometimes three...  So to see this many, I had to stop the truck, in the middle of the street to catch this shot!

Wild Turkey

New Almaden is an area in South San Jose, that when you head there it's like stepping back in time.  No sidewalks, country living and a warm feeling that seems to get lost in so many places these days.

Wild Turkey

I bet when it gets close to Thanksgiving, these guys take a run and split town!  Usually only one gets a pardon...

Chris,  we go hiking there all the time.  It is a great place and the old mines are very interesting as is their history.  We have turkeys taking over the community as well.  Just a few hours ago all over my front yard.

Love the wild turkeys Chris. It's been a while since I've been to the Almaden area, I thought the turkeys have been long gone by now. Happy Thanksgiving!  :)
