12 Comments on Heare Ye, Heare Ye! Ohio Renaissance Festival Starts September 3rd 2011!
Liz & Bill I always wanted to go to one of these Renaissance Fairs, I am planning on it this year, so do not be surprised if I show up. Great enticement with your Blogg:))
Endre, If you're interested in a Renaissance Festival, a 30 acre permanently built fair is a pretty good one to start with :)
A Renaissance Festival in an English village...sounds right up my alley. ;-)
Liz & Bill - the festival sounds like great fun. I can not imagine a two pound turkey leg or the total weight of a bird that would have four pounds in legs. I bet they will be selling. Very nice Localism post
Bliz - I would love to go to a fair like this. I've never even heard of one close to where I live. My son and daughter-in-law live in Colubmia SC and took my granddaughters to something similar and absolutely loved it.
Wow...seems like there is always some type of festival going on in Ohio :)! I bet you can't go one week without having one, LOL :)! Just kidding. A Renaissance Festival sounds like a whole bunch of fun :)!
There is one around here too & it also starts September 3rd!
Hi Bliz, You are very fortunate to have a Renaissance Festival in your area. I would love to come to visit since we don't have anything like that her my area. Dallas may come close, but Harveysburg looks like an original to me.
Anita, But you've gotten to visit the real thing, we've just got a bunch of 2 x 4s and plywood :)
Barbara, That IS a serious drumstick!
Donna, I know I've heard of others. My in-laws go to one near DC.
Brenda, And we've got more coming, Apples, Sauerkraut, and some more Catholic church festivals too!
Christine, The long weekend makes the perfect launching the festival!
Jerry, Maybe it gets too hot down your way to put those armor suits on!
BLiz, that sounds like such a great time! Are you going? I have costumes and everything that you could borrow! (I used to do a character called Lady Migraine...) :D
Good morning BLiz. I think that rennasance fairs are so cool. I need to go back to one sometime soon...
Peg, We went about 5-6 years ago I think? Time runs together so hard to say :) LOL at the character, although Liz gets visited by Lady Migraine periodically!
Michael, I did like the jousting and sword fighting routines they have there! They've done a great job setting up the village for the event.
