THIS IS ANYTHING BUT WORDLESS, BUT THE PICTURE SPEAKS LOUDER THAN MY WORDS!

I can't imagine the loss the family has when losing a servicmanI had this forwarded to me via e-mail to me.  This is very powerful.  I guess that this came from Todd Heisler of the Rocky Mountain News.

The night before the burial of her husband's body, Katherine Cathey refused to leave the casket, asking to sleep with her husband one last time.  The marines made a bed for her, tucking in the sheets below the flag.  Before she fell asleep, she opened her laptop computer and played songs that reminded her of 'Cat' and one of the Marines asked her if she wanted them to continue standing watch as she slept. 'I think it would be kind of nice if you kept doing it,' she said. 'I think that's what he would have wanted.'

An Amazing Story!

Larry:

AS I read your post, I began to cry for that young woman who had lost her husband.  What a touching story.

What a very powerful picture of love.  I am in tears after seeing this.  Love is above all else what keeps us all going.

This is the part of freedom that people need to see more of as American citizens.

Wow, Larry.  That is intense.  God bless her as she starts this journey.  I'm sure she'll have lots of support from her military family.

I don't get all sniffly that easy, but I just can't imagine my wife doing it b/c of me...or me doing it b/c of my dad.  To really truly think of it...it blows me away.

Larry, I saw this photo when it came out a while back and it is extremely moving.  Definitely a true love story and a heart of gold with our service men and women who cared enough to honor such a request.  Pretty moving.

What a powerful moment caught on film.  We have no idea how fortunate we are to live in a country where others give their lives for our freedom every day.
