Talk the Talk

Mortgage and Lending with S&P Mortgage (Alumni)

Tonight I had the opportunity to stop in and visit a friend.  By the way, I am away from home on a personal matter.  So, I stopped in to see an old friend.  Now this friend has received my cards, has received calls from me begging for a referral, and I always just stop in and say hi when I'm around the area.  Interestingly tonight while we're talking, she says, "my husband asked if you were still doing mortgages." She says it a second time.  A few minutes later she finally asks me a third time.  So, what did I do, I asked her why she was so curious all of sudden.  She's had my cards for well over six months and never asked a mortgage questions once.

Well, low and behold she shoots back that her husband is a commercial realtor.  Any loan officer will tell you that generally the best source of referrals for LOs is realtors.  I can't believe that 'my friend' could have been sending over referrals all this time and didn't even mention it.

Before I left her, I grabbed her address and will be sending out one of my commercial apckages to her husband as soon as I get back.

It just goes to prove, you never know who you know and who they know!

It is surprising when that happens, you never do know who you know!
