DocusignLast month's contest was for you to write about your experience with electronic signatures......or possibly your lack of experience with them. We had a bunch of great submissions and we wanted to thank you for showing some of the flexibility electronic signatures can provide for you and your buyers and sellers.

After plowing through a couple hundred posts, we have some winners for you. We broke the posts up into two categories; 'have used Docusign' (or some kind of electronic signature application) and 'have not used Docusign'. From each group we selected a first, second and third place winner.

Have Used Docusign:

1st Place: Jonathan Dalton and his tale of closing the deal from his hospital bed. Who wouldn't want this guy on their side when the transaction was on the line? Fantastic story Jonathan!

2nd Place: Cindy Jones helped her client sell his house from a boat in the middle of the Arabian Sea. But not just any boat, her client was a US Navy Commander on board the USS Enterprise. Too cool!!

3rd Place: Tom Branch relates the story of documents that criss crossed the globe in order to get signatures from clients in India, Japan, Boston and Plano Texas. Try reading those documents after they went through a fax machine!

Have Not Used Docusign (but wish they would/could have!)

1st Place: David Serle could have saved himself a bunch of money and a lot of time if he'd been using Docusign (not to mention a $248 speeding ticket). Ahh, the adventures of a traveling salesman!

2nd Place: Chris Hooks wonders if the good ole days were really the good ole days. How much easier life could have been throughout the years with electronic signatures. Someone could have avoided 18 hours of travel time and gotten the deal put together much easier if only we had computers then.

3rd Place: Marian Goetzinger hasn't tried docusign yet because her clients want things done their way. She might try it one day, but for now her clients are calling her on their rotary phone.

Our first place winners both take home a $200 Visa gift card and 5000 ActiveRain points. Our second place winners scored a $100 Visa gift card and 4000 ActiveRain points and our 3rd place winners will get a $50 gift card and 3000 ActiveRain points courtesy of our friends at Docusign. Have you completely missed out on all the fun? Not exactly.........

Docusign is giving away a trip for two to London for sharing your favorite Docusign story with them. You can find out all the details here. So if you have a Docusign story that you think is original and unique (maybe even the same one you shared for this contest) get over there and check out Docusign's London giveaway. And if this post is the reason you win, we'll at least expect a postcard here at ActiveRain headquarters!

Great stories about Docusign. I've now done a few transactions with them, and it's interesting that the title companies are requiring live signatures at closing...
