Drew Carey was suspended twice from Kent State University and ultimately dropped out, he worked as a waiter at Denny's , and attempted suicide twice by taking overdoses of sleeping pills.

A few years later...

Drew Carey became a stand-up comedian, starred in a  TV show "The Drew Carey Show", produced and acted in "Who's line is it anyway",  and wrote the Best Selling book Dirty jokes and beer...

Today he's the new Host of the "Price is Right"

Nice inspirational story for first thing in the morning. I wasn't aware of it. Joan Rivers had a similar story. After being rejected by everyone in the industry, and at the age of 28 she was too old to reach her dream. Her dad threatened to have her committed to a mental hospital, but she never gave up her dream and whether you like her or hate her, she's an awesome success.

So, I guess that there is still hope for me?
