united water mailing

if you are a Rockland County homeowner, chances are you have received or will soon be receiving a notice from United Water.  I have not seen the letter yet but numerous clients have called to inquire if they should add the insurance protection to their utility bill.  It appears they are offering coverage for the costs associated with repairing landscaping, driveways, etc if they need to dig up your property to get to a broken water main.  Please  do not hold me to exactly what their insurance covers because i do not know for sure.  But i would say if this is a concern for you, add the plan through united water since this is not typically offered under most standard homeowners insurance policies.
