My thoughts go out to my Coastal friends with upcoming Irene. Been through some big hurricanes have a manual can opener handy, a flash light , go shopping cause all the tunafish flew off the shelves, along with peanut butter and all the bananas were gone

I have lived in Key West for years. Mostly we just prepare for a scare but if we ever got a big one it would be a mess.
I live on the high part of the Island. I don't even need flood insurance. My house has gone through a few hurricanes over it's 150 year old life. I hope I don't have to test it's strength.
