Welcome to all of the new Lake Ridge Elementary School Students-The Lake Ridge Lions

The first day of kindergarten is both scary and exciting for young children.  To help with make it easier Lake Ridge Elementary School in Woodbirdge VA offers a new school orientation specifically for students and their parents.

This year the Kindergarten orientation will be on September 1, 2011 from 6 PM to 8 PM.  Parents and their children should meet in the school cafeteria.  While parents meet with the teachers and talk about what will be happening in the classroom, children will be taking a short bus ride to learn about saftey on the bus.


The following day, September 2, 2011 there will be a new student orientation from 12:30PM  to 2 PM.  This is a chance for any students who are new to the school, from first through fifth grade to tour the school to make your first day in Lake Ridge Elementary School easier.  Meet in the cafeteria to start your tour.

Then from 2PM-3PM all students will have a chance to find their classroom and meet their new teacher.  This is great chance to see other students, new and returning who will be in your class this year.

Lake Ridge Elementary School is part of the Prince William County Public School system and is proud to have recognized as a Prince William County School of Excellence 10 times.
