APPLYING FOR a 2011-12 School Bus Pass
ALL Applications must be made in person (applications will not be accepted through the mail or online):
The Bus Pass Office is located at the Transportation Department at 955 E. Citrus in Redlands (The Transportation Department is across the street from RHS….look for where all the big yellow busses are parked).
Summer Hours: DOORS OPEN at 8:30 a.m. Monday -- Thursday
DOORS CLOSE at 3:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday
Parking is available in the small lot across Central Avenue from the Bus Pass Office (or on the street). ENTER through the gate on Central Avenue marked “BUS PASS OFFICE.”
FOR YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY DO NOT PARK IN OR ENTER THE TRANSPORTATION YARD.
What you will need to apply for a bus pass:
1. Bus Pass Application: ONE application per student is needed. You should download and complete the application before coming to our office. (Click Here!)
2. Your student MUST be present at the time application is turned.
3. Fees: Cash, Check and/or money order. If paying by check write your driver’s license or CA I.D. number and expiration date on the check. Please make it payable to RUSD.

FULL RATE Maximum of $595 per family
Fee Waiver: Children of families with income at or below the Federal guidelines for free or reduced price lunch will be eligible to receive free or reduced cost transportation services. The household size and income criteria determine eligibility for free/reduced transportation services. You must provide proof of income when submitting your application or a wavier WILL NOT be considered. Your 2011 Federal tax return is preferred. All information is confidential. A bus pass will not be issued until Transportation has verified eligibility. (Fee Waiver Application)

Replacement Fee for Lost Bus Pass: $10
Intra-District Students: Students who are on an intra-district transfer and can safely access service from an existing stop MAY apply for a Conditional Bus Pass. Conditional Bus Applications will be accepted on a space available basis after Labor Day.
Refund Policy: Bus pass refunds are available on a prorated basis ONLY. In order to for you to file for a refund you must return bus pass and complete the refund slip. They’re will be a $20 processing fee.
