What was supposed to be a relaxing day at the beach today for me has turned into a full blown prepardness exercise. With eye expected to come just west of Manchester 5-10 inches of rain along with sustained winds of 75-80MPH are forecast. My duties of sitting in teh sand soaking up some of the last sunshine of summer will have to wait as checking and securing the dozens of bank owned homes i manage along with duties at home of putting away the lawn furniture, umbrellas,  securing anything that can be turned into flying debris and stocking up with gas, water and food.

In preparation for the impending weekend storm, the City of Manchester has launched an emergency web page on the official city website (www.manchesternh.gov); the new web page is www.manchesternh.gov/emergency. The emergency page can also be accessed through the “emergency information center” button located in the banner of the homepage of the city website.

The page is a comprehensive listing of what to do before, during and after an emergency. It also includes guidelines for general storm preparedness and other emergency contact information and resources.Emergency preparedness information is available at manchesternh.gov/emergency

STAY SAFE EVERYONE.

I'd been hoping to spend Sunday at the beach.  Right, if I want a good shower!  Stay safe and let's hope Irene takes a right turn before she hits land.

Kathryn that would be great, a sharp right out to sea would be nice.  We have had way over our fair share of crazy weather this year, ice storms, blizzard with snow up to the roof, tornados, an earthquake so a hurricane was next in line, the only thing i think is next is a volcano?

Looks like lots of flooding and power outages. I need to get out of here and go test the generator. Looks like i might get my moneys worth. Stay safe.
