20 Comments on Rent a Luxury Home in Los Angeles
Jane
The rental market heating up is a good thing. Often, sellers are in a tough position in many regions, but offering their homes to rent, may be a good way to wait the selling market out, or get them in a position to move or purchase that next property. I know that has been the case for many of my clients.
Jane, the rental market in Chicago is heating up as well for high end properties. I am finding more and more people want a rental home if they have just transferred into Chicago, if they are not familiar with the Windy City and tend to wait a year.
Scott, that is always a great option. Becoming a landlord is not the ideal situation though, as we all know.
Barb, that is exactly the case here too.
Rentals have been hot here for awhile - I listed one last month and had several offers the 2nd day.
Rental clients would do well to call you and let you handle gathering the data for them.
Jane, you know your Los Angeles real estate market so well, for rentals and sales, no wonder they're calling you for help. Since you live and work there, you know yoour area better than most and are a great asset to these assistants.
Margaret, thank you. It does make it easier, and the service is free :)
Juli, you are too kind. Thank you.
Rentals in my area seem to be moving as well. I'm curious how are agents in CA compensated for a rental?
Jane, we don't have enough rental property in my area at this time, and more and more people are wanting to rent instead of buying a house.
Cindy, generally we get 3% of the annual rent paid by the landlord. What do you guys get?
Rebecca, that is the same here.
Jane - I think the rental market is now in a very difficult position for consumers. Homeowners here in Nashville can almost name their price because good properites are hard to find.
Jane: It's not surprising to see the rental market doing so well. With all the foreclosures and short sales that have occurred/are occurring, I'm sure there are many who cannot qualify for a mortgage.
Larry, same here also.
Steve, that is definitely one of the problems.
Jane - You are definitely the go to real estate agent in Los Angeles CA.
Michelle, thank you kindly.
Jane, many families here in Dallas perfer to lease than purchase they have the money to buy ! Love the residential leasing here in Dallas ;p
Lynn, I don't mind doing leases at all. They are quick and easy.
Very sage wisdom and advice Jane..."why not have one person do the legwork". IMO it is necessary in a tight rental market.
Doug, I definitely think so.
Somebody down in your neck of the woods contacted me the other day, Jane, and I told them to call you. I think they were looking for a lawyer who understood short sales. I told them if anybody was connnected in Los Angeles, it would be Jane Peters.
Elizabeth, well, thank you for thinking of me. Haven't heard from them yet.
