According to the California Association of Realtors, Freddi Mac is trying to crack down of short sale fraud from listing agents. It's about time. I have witnessed fraud many times with REO Brokers. I can assume fraud also exists amount short sales as well since fraud exists in everything at some time and in some form. It can be very upsetting when you see your clients offer be supposedly rejected only to watch the property be purchased in house by the listing broker at a lower price. Short Sale Fraud is the kind of practice that brings negativity to the entire industry.
