Pay your bills on line NOW, Hurricane Irene

If you pay any bills on line, do it now before you lose power.  Hurricane Irene is working it's way up the eastern sea coast, and we all know it's not if but when we lose power.  Make sure your cell phone is fully charged, and don't use it unless you have to.  I have a portable re-charge adapter, uses one AA battery, but the cell towers could get damaged.

Last chance folks, sit down for a few minutes and make a list of what's most important to you.  Put that in your "GO" bag, just in case.

If you have a neighbor who lives alone, check up on them before the storm gets here.  Good luck.

Kenneth - Good thinking.  Better safe than sorry.  Hoping not too many people lose power.

Good advice.  The worst thing about storms - the loss of power! Guess you will not be showing homes today.  Stay safe!

Good advice to those in harms way.  I wonder how many companies have a disaster recovery plan in place?

In our elctronic world, online bill paying can be severely hampered by electrical outages - especially if they come near the end of the month and last several days. Cleaning up a credit report for late pays due to a major Act of God is always more difficult than simply paying ahead of schedule. Making sure the cell phone is paid and the batteries charged are also important. Come to think of it, this should be added to the household emergency preparedness list...

I am fortunate that we have a WHOLE HOUSE generator so we and our dogs will have power, AC and water.  The wind has picked up over the last 2 hour so I suspect IRENE is on her way up the VA coast!

Good morning folks;  Debbie; I'm hoping also that I don't lose power, but making plans if I do.

Gary;  No showing today, or tomorrow, Monday doesn't look good either, but Tuesday we will be looking hard at basements.

Richard;  Nice to meet you, and thanks for stopping by.

Wallace;  I hope you stay safe.

Anne;  Thanks for the comment, I'm hoping too.  Nice to meet you.
