Reblogging - Cloud Gazing... Go ahead... I give you permission.
As soon as I read Lindsey's title I knew I'd like the post. And look at her photo, doesn't it remind you of summertimes gone by?
I look at clouds all the time, but it has been awhile since I just laid down on the grass and gazed up. For me, her post and the photo of who I think might be her son reminded me of hanging with my friends as a teenager in Greynolds Park in Miami. Lots of gentle peaceful teenage hippies just hanging out letting their imaginations be free.
This was a terrific post...succinct and yet profound. She even tied in the suggestion to reward yourself for all of the hard work you put into keeping up your home and property.
Please, let me know that for at least the time it took to read Lindsey's post that you felt relaxed and serene. Then go visit Lindsey and congratulate her on a such an evocative post.
Seeing as how summer is starting to come to an end... (at least in my neck of the woods) I hope that you get time to get out and gaze at the clouds. Don't miss the moment cuz it'll be gone before you blink.
Enjoy the yard that you work so hard to keep up and just sit back and look up. It's amazing what you might see.
Dinosaurs, trucks, airplanes, monsters.... all flying over your head at a decent speed. (or maybe in your yard it's something more pleasant?)
Keeping up a home is a big investment of time and energy. Our families depend on working resources to keep moving ahead.
It's not easy to stop the rat race... even for a moment... so I'm giving you permission.
In my case it's not so hard because I have two awesome boys to remind me to slow down and breathe.
The weekend is upon us and work is piled high as ever, but will you please stop for a moment? Just a moment.... and breathe?_________________________________________________________________________________________
In the meantime... if you are looking to move into the area... I'll wait for you to call!
